CFS, more tired, Exhausted and a swollen eye

Hello all of you all,

Well, what a day. Lost two icons of celebrity status. Michael Jackson, and Farah Fawcett. May they be well where ever they are.

On to living life. Some of you know that I have had an interesting eye swelling problem since the morning of 31 May. By Tuesday with incredible pain I presented my body to the Emergency Dept here in Fremantle WA.

The eye itself proved to be very healthy. The swelling......well......no one knew for sure what was going on. They suggested pain medication and turned me loose. I was back on Thursday with even more pain and the eye fully swollen shut. Well, yesterday, 25 June, I returned to the Ophthalmologist at Fremantle Hospital. This was a different Doctor that the two previous times. He wanted an immediate Cat Scan which was accomplished within the hour. He then wanted me to return today, Friday to review the CT and be inspected by a senior Doctor.

Below is the CT explained by a professional Doctor.

Findings:

Internal fixation is demonstrated at the antero-inferior right orbital margin and further wire overlaying the right frontal bone superiorly at the site of previous internal fixation. A little post-surgical deformity persists to the antero-inferior right orbital margin. The right frontal sinus is opaque, large with sclerotic marginal remodeling, except at its antero-inferior aspect where it bulgesinto the superior aspect of the right eye. Here it abuts the globe and superior rectus. There is some sclerotic deformity to the superior nasal bone. A single focus of left anterior ethmoid air cell opacification is shown but the remaining paranasal sinuses are patent.


Now I am sure that everyone knows exactly what happened right?..... OK, the area in the inner side of my right eye there is a sinus. Basically all sinus have a way in and a way out for fluids. My way out apparently is blocked. What ever the pump is that was pushing in pushed hard enough to push previously broken bone bits (my face was crushed about 30 years ago) out of where they have been resting since the accident....on top of my eye. If anyone looks at my face, my right eye orbit area looks swollen. Also, if I hold my head level, the right eye is being depressed from above. Currently the eye is healthy. The doctors are not overly concerned at this time. Hoping that the swelling will go away. They were pushing for a repeat CT in 6 months. I got a strong push from my guides to request one at 3 months. That is where we left it for now. there will be a CT in 3 months.

On another note. I saw my hormone specialist doctor this week also. I have been very tired for the last 3-8 months. I was hoping for something not so right in the blood profile. However, my iron levels are OK, thyroid is OK, Liver is OK, Electrolytes are OK, B12 is OK, I am healthy. that means then that I have Chronic Fatigue.

There is stuff that I can do to help my body recover a bit faster like taking some super vitamins and supplements etc. Unfortunately, they are expensive and my finances are on a diet. A strict, severe diet, ha ha ha. So, for now, I have to monitor my activity very very carefully. There are days where I actually have a bit of energy and I am able to easily do shopping etc. There are other days that the same activity completely exhausts me.

I am budgeting carefully and I am taking some vitamins and supplements. One, Acai Berry has kept me from having any colds or flu for over a year now. At a tsp a day, it is good money well spent. The ones that I really need......well, I am putting in for a Lotto win or help from friends.

I have my bike on a trainer stand and am able to ride it for about 20 minutes 2-3 times per week. At least one of you receiving this email I know has had CFS and recovered to race very well again. Any suggestions that worked for any of you that have had CFS I would appreciate hearing.

On a Spiritual Note.....I accept that I created this situation to learn many lessons from it. Now I have it. I am learning. And I will get beyond it and be healthy again to one day ride all the way around Australia on a bicycle.
